I looked "from the pictures" and yes, I think Forza 3 looks on par with GT5, and is an older game. At least, from those pics.

I was saying to expect these kinds of reviews simply because of the limitations that GT5 offers in the game like:
segmented car classes (premium and standard)
No cockpit view for all cars
no proper tuning
lack of damage
lack of modding and customization
